Mildred W Thompson

Graveside services for Mrs. Mildred W. Thompson will begin at 2:30 PM Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, with Dr. John Temple officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites. The Thompson Family will receive guests from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home prior to departure to the cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Thompson, 94, of Meridian, died Friday, May 29, 2026, at Brookdale Living Center of Meridian, following a brief illness.

Mildred was a woman of many talents; she was an avid crafter, an NRA pistol instructor, and a volunteer at the MSU Riley Center. She loved traveling all over the world and especially enjoyed the islands and Europe. She was a long-time founding member of College Park Methodist Church, formerly Oakland Heights Methodist Church; where she faithfully attended as long as long as her health allowed. She was a member of the choir and other ministries through the years. She also enjoyed line dancing and walking with friends, walking over six miles daily.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her son, Roy Thompson (Louise); grandchildren, James Lee (Marlee); as well as a host of extended family members.

Mrs. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, J.K Thompson; her parents; as well as numerous siblings.

The Thompson Family requests memorials be made as donations to The Gideon’s International or to The Alzheimer’s Foundation in lieu of flowers.
