Services for Morris Lavon Hughes will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m at Robert Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Jack Giles and Chris Vowell officiating. Burial will be in Old Marion Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hughes, 64, of Meridian died Saturday August 24, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Hughes was a U S Army Veteran, retired truck driver. Mr. Hughes loved to read in his Bible and watch westerns. Survivors include Sons: Daniel Hughes, Douglas Hughes, daughter, Deborah Hughes all of Columbus MS, Mother Ella Hughes Spence of Meridian, Sisters; Evelyn Wilkerson, Retha Moulds and Diane Harris, Brothers: Jerry Hughes and David Hughes all of Meridian, Numerous Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by: Father Morris Quenvy Hughes and Brother Billy Hughes. Pallbearers will be; Danny Rainer, Wayne Booker, Randy Wilkerson, Robert Harris, Jr., Erron Davidson and Charles Robinson. Honorary Pallbearer Joe Garrett. Visitation will be held Sunday 5:00 7:00 P.M. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
