Services for Mynard Taylor Ramia will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at 2:00 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00. The Reverend Pam Randall will officiate. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Ramia, 88, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013, at Aldersgate Personal Care. She was born May 4, 1924, in Stonewall, Mississippi, to the late Fred and Cynthia Hartley Taylor. She was a 1944 graduate of Enterprise High School. A longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Mrs. Ramia will be remembered as a loving wife and mother. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with family at her cabin on the Warrior River in Demopolis. Mrs. Ramia is survived by her brother, Jack H. Taylor (Irma), of Soso, MS; sisters-in-law, Joe Ann Ramia Creekmore (Earl) of Meridian, Roselie Perryman (Tom) of Houston, TX and Annie Marie Hodge (Gene) of Leeds, AL; brother-in-law, Bill Ramia (Gay) of Collierville, TN; nieces Linda Hosey (Ricky) of Hattiesburg, Elaine Holifield (Dale) of Soso, Judy Atchison (Richard) of Leeds, AL, Sandra McKell (Mickey) of Vestavia, AL, Linda Berry (Shane) of Germantown, TN, and Amy Prenger of Austin, TX; and nephews, Jackie Taylor (Teresa) of Laurel, Tommy Taylor (Bobbie) of Ellisville, Ken Taylor (Bonnie) of Camarillo, CA, Rex Hiatt (Brenda) of Collinsville, Bill Hiatt (Janet) of Reston, VA, Joe Hiatt (Susie) of Trussville, AL, Jimmy Ramia of Leeds, AL, Joe Ramia (Marsha) of Meridian, and Bill Ramia, Jr. (Patricia) of Eads, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Ramia; son, George Ramia, Jr.; and brothers Dupree Taylor of Laurel and S. K. Taylor of Stonewall. The family wishes to express special thanks to her caregiver and dear friend, Cookie Allen, and the staff at Aldersgate Personal Care. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
