Myra C. Gaubert MERIDIAN Services for Myra C. Gaubert will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Sikes officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Gaubert, 66, of Meridian, died Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Rush Foundation Hospital. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church having grown up in Fifth Street United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Beta Literary Society, Daughters of the Confederacy, and was a faithful volunteer at Merrehope for many years. She loved her family, her friends and life. She had a card ministry that touched many lives all across the United States and beyond. She had a faith that is to be desired and was a faithful prayer warrior. Her story-telling, zest for life and congeniality was a source of joy and pleasure to all that know and loves her. She will be greatly missed but her love for her family and many friends will live forever. If you ever met her, you will never forget her. Survivors include her devoted husband and best friend of 32 years Glenn Gaubert; sons, Rick Courtney of Meridian, Chris Courtney and much loved daughter-in-law Marla of Meridian; Daughter, Gina Gaubert Burney and fiancé Joe Vazzana of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Grandchildren, Sara Courtney , Christopher "Kip" Courtney, Jacob Cotten Courtney, and Joshua Clay Courtney all of Meridian. Sister, Lou Cotten Cobler and beloved brother-in-law Clayton, and special niece, Kelly Wren Cobler all of Meridian. Aunts, Margaret Cotten Cepparulo of Ripley, TN and Betty Drennan Foster of Memphis, TN, numerous cousins and her beloved companion Sophie. She is preceded in death by her parents, E. M. Cotten and Eva Ellen Drennan Cotten. Brother, Thomas Harold Cotten and daughter, Sandie Gaubert Pilgrim. Pallbearers will be Kip Courtney, Jake Courtney, Josh Courtney, Steve Blackwell, Frank Polizzi, Paul Ricks, Jeremiah Malmberg, and Joe Vazzana.
