Funeral services for Mrs. Myrle McMullen will begin at 2:30 PM Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Michael McMullen officiating. Interment will follow at Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. McMullen, 83, of Meridian, died Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Poplar Springs Nursing Center of Meridan.

Mrs. Myrle was a loving and devoted pastor’s wife for over 45 years; she loved the Lord. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many people. She enjoyed spending time outdoors in her flower beds and tending to her lawn. Her most favorite hobby was spending time reading Her Bible and watching game shows.

Mrs. Myrle is survived by her husband of over 63 years, Reverend Jerry McMullen, Sr.; children Jerry McMullen, Jr (Anita), Gail Fincham (Tom), and Michael McMullen. Twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mrs. McMullen is preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Lou Ella Lovett; and her six siblings.

Pallbearers will be Jacob McMullen, Jordan McMullen, Aaron McMullen, Andrew McMullen, Simon McMullen, and David McMullen.

The McMullen family suggests memorials be made as donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in lieu of flowers.
