Nancy Shelton-Neal Groves

A funeral service for Nancy S. Groves will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Mount Gilead Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Wallace, Bro. Joey Shelton, and Bro. Michael Yancey officiating. Burial to follow at Mount Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Nancy Groves, age 61 of Meridian passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Baptist Anderson Regional Hospital.

Nancy was mischievous, fierce, and a fighter to the end. She was a loving wife to her best friend, Clint and a mother to her only child, Ashley, who she loved and adored dearly. She was a sister and friend to many; she never met a stranger. She had a big personality and left an unforgettable impression on those she met. Nancy had a talent in the kitchen for cooking and baking, loved spending time doing crafts, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Clinton L. Groves; daughter, Ashley Brooke Marsh (Mike); siblings, Kathy Rutledge (Steve), Jane Shelton (Ronnie), Judy Yancey (Michael), and Purvis Shelton; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Mollie Shelton; sister-in-law, Lara Shelton.

Pallbearers will be Buck Roberts, Ricky Roberts, Chuck Roberts, Chris Fairchild, Henry Yeagar, Wade Shelton, and Kenny Barnard.  Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Marsh, Daniel Rutledge, Chris Rutledge, and Drew Yancey.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
