Nancy Welborn Knight

Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Knight will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018, at 11:30a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Bishop Gary Longo officiating. Burial will follow in the Knight Family Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Nancy Lynn Knight, age 56, of Collinsville passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Nancy was born in Quitman, Mississippi on November 10, 1961. She met her husband, Lamar, in 1992. From then, her desires were to be a wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished family above all else. Nancy was a very beautiful soul; she welcomed everyone with open arms. Along with her husband, she attended First Assembly of Meridian. The highlight of her week was spending time with her granddaughter Laikynn, and she was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her second granddaughter Haislee. After defeating breast cancer, she was a fierce warrior in her battle against uterine cancer and now has gained her ultimate healing with her Heavenly Father. She is now walking with the Lord and is deeply missed by all those whose lives were touched by her.

She is survived by her husband, Lamar; her mother, Ola Marie Welborn; her children, Jessie (Katie), Nicholas (Kalee), and Brooke; grandchildren, Laikynn and Haislee; brother, Jackie Welborn (Paula); as well as many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Huey Welborn; brother, Douglas Welborn; mother-in-law, Diane Griffin; and father-in-law, Carl Griffin.

Pallbearers will be Chris White, Lane Worrell, Nicholas Knight, Chris Griffin, Lamar Knight, and William Griffin.
