Nellie S. Smith Downs Graveside services for Nellie S. Smith Downs will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Stonewall Cemetery, with Reverend Ed Shoemaker officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Downs, age 90, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She loved gospel singing and sang duets with the pastor's wife. She was a member of Calvary Baptist. Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Pat Downs of Meridian; son, Charles Steven Downs; three grandchildren; and sister, Lois McDonald. She was preceded in death by her mother, Minnie Smith; father, Thomas "Nuck" Smith; numerous sisters, and one brother. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com.
