Graveside services for Norma Jean Thompson will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Old Marion Russell Cemetery with Pastor Elaine Maust officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Thompson, age 83, of Meridian, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 7, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Thompson was born and raised in Meridian. She spent many years traveling with her husband, who was a career naval officer, and her children, before returning to Meridian. The greatest joy and her proudest accomplishment was raising her four sons. She is survived by her sons, Brian Thompson and wife, Gerri, Bruce Thompson and wife, Jeanne, Brett Thompson and wife, Lori, and Curtis Thompson II and wife, Michelle; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis R. Thompson Sr.; parents, Dutch and Laura Shearer; sister, Katherine East; and brother, Wallace Shearer. The family request memorials be made to Jubilee Mennonite Church, 812 28th Avenue, Meridian, MS 39301. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com.
