Norma Semmes Walters Services for Mrs. Norma Semmes Walters will be held Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Father Frank Cosgrove and Reverend Charles Davis officiating. Burial will be at Semmes Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Walters, 72, of Meridian, died Monday, May 9, 2011 at Anderson Hospital. She worked at Southern Pipe and was owner of Quitman Sporting Goods and Pawn Shop where she later retired from. Mrs. Walters was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Her survivors include her daughter Cheryl Newell and her husband Gary of Meridian; a son Jody Walters and wife Anne of Causeyville; grandchildren Ashlyn and Dalton Newell, David Sanders and wife Shanda and Steven Sanders; great grandchildren John David Sanders and Tanner Sanders; her brother Joe Semmes and her sister Mamie Bonner. Mrs. Walters was preceded in death by her husband Joe Walters, and her parents Joe Semmes, Sr. and Amanda Semmes. Pallbearers will be Carlton Lafferty, John Bernhard, Greg Crain, Andy Walters, Rex Jenkins and Jeff Stadalis.
