Services for Mr. Norman Rutledge, Jr. will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Dr. Ralph Henson and Brother Frankie Boyette officiating. Burial will be at Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Norman Rutledge, Jr. went to be with his Lord on May 21, 2017. He was born on December 27, 1935, in Little Rock, Mississippi. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Betty Thompson Rutledge and his three children; Janice Breazeale (Mark), Sharla Rawson (Tim), and Lori Ladd (Sabe Nicholson); five grandchildren, Alesha Bailey (Richie), David Rawson (Paige), Jonathan Rawson (Paige), Josh Breazeale, Karey Ladd (Brittany), and Karey’s father, Stan Ladd; two great grandchildren; Sam Bailey and Rhett Rawson; and sisters, Frances Gambill and Carol Moffett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Rutledge, Sr. and Lora Rutledge Ingram, his brothers Charles Rutledge and Harold Rutledge, and great granddaughter Madelyn Rawson.

Mr. Rutledge served in the Air Force and was stationed in Bangor, Maine and Thule, Greenland. He was the owner of Southeast Supply and Rutledge Auto Sales.

He was blessed by having a host of friends, and was known for his humor, kind spirit, and generosity. He knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior, and was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Mt. View Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Josh Breazeale, David Rawson, Jonathan Rawson, Karey Ladd, Richie Bailey, and Delma Carlisle.

Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Mt. View Baptist Church and the Southeast Supply Breakfast Bunch.

Memorials may be made to Mt. View Baptist Church, 897 Scruggs Road, Meridian, Mississippi 39301, or Gideons International.
