Notie Mae (Scarbrough) Robinson

Funeral services for Notie Robinson will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Center Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Wallace, Reverend Jimmy Culpepper and Reverend Irvin Mooney officiating. Burial will follow at Center Grove Baptist Church cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Notie Mae Robinson, age 81, of Meridian passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Enterprise.

Notie graduated from Whynot High School in 1954 and was employed at Meridian Manufacturing for 26 years before retirement. She was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church where she was active as long as she was able. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved cooking, flowers and birds, but most of all she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and shared with everyone she met.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, James Robinson; four children, Mike Robinson (Robin), Debbie Robertson (Kenneth), Kathy Jenkins (Jerry), and Jerry Robinson (April); twelve grandchildren, James Michael, Daniel, David, and Jacob Robinson, Kimberly Stegall, Shanna and Christian Robertson, Benjamin, Pamela, and Lauren Jenkins, and Darcy and Jerrison Robinson; and six great grandchildren, Jaci Poncho, Hayden and Jett Robinson, Coraline Stegall, Tyler Boykin, and Matthew Jenkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Sadie Scarbrough; five siblings, Infant W.C. Scarbrough, Ira Scarbrough, James Scarbrough, Leon Scarbrough, and Hazel Parks; and one son, James Lavern Robinson, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Robinson, David Robinson, James Michael Robinson, Christian Robertson, Benjamin Jenkins, and Thomas Cherry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Robinson, Bill Rainer, Ben Harper, and William Robinson.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 11, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
