O.C. Barham

Funeral services for Mr. O.C. Barham will begin at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Wayne Smith and Dr. Jeff Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Barham, age 85, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. O.C was the founder and former owner of O.C. Barham Funeral Homes. He was a long time member of 15 ^th Avenue Baptist Church, an active member of the Gideons International, and the Meridian Exchange Club. O.C. served for 40 years as a Commissioner of Region 5 Housing Authority. O.C. loved watching races at Whynot Raceway and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. O.C. is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruth Taylor Barham; children, Bill Barham (Christine), Bob Barham (Sharon), Beth Barham (Mike Jenkins), and Bruce Barham (Martha). Grandchildren, Brooke Alford (Alex), Britney Whitaker (Ryan), Brandi Bonner, Baleigh Davis (Bo), B.J. Barham (Sabrina), Blaire Barham, Bryan Barham, Brach Barham (Sarah), Blake Barham, Brant Barham, and 14 great-grandchildren. Sisters-in-law, Bernice Barham, and Amy Barham, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and the funeral home family.

Mr. Barham is preceded in death by his parents Ottis C. and Ada Mae Pope Barham, as well as, six brothers and four sisters.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandsons.

The family requests memorials be made as donations to 15 ^th Avenue Baptist Church Building fund, or to a charity of your choice.

The Barham family will receive guests Sunday, June 21, 2020 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to funeral rites. Facial masks are required before admittance into the funeral home.
