Odie L. Turbville Services for Odie L. Turbville will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church with Reverend Mark Flynn officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Turbville, 79, of Meridian died Sunday, December 18, 2011, at Regency Hospital. He worked for seventeen years with Carmichael Volkswagen and was the owner of Turbville Auto Parts where he retired. Mr. Turbville was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church where he had served as an elder and was active in many capacities in the church and he loved his church family. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Turbville was a life time member of Briarwood County Club and helped the Ladies Association with many tournaments. He was an avid aviation buff and had earned his pilot license. Mr. Turbville loved the outdoors and was an expert gardener. Survivors include his wife of fifty one years, Sue C. Turbville of Meridian; sister-in-law Pauline Turbville of Meridian; nieces and nephews Dottie Briggs (Dan), Barbara McCullers (Roger), James Briggs, Annie Goss (Mike), Gary Turbville (Martha), Dorothy Shirley (Mike), Willie Turbville (Teresa) and Terry Turbville, Lynn Ryan and her daughter Haleigh. He was preceded in death by his parents Edson and Leona Turbville and brothers Riley and Louie Turbville. The family requests memorials be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice. Pallbearers will be Clayton Spears, Tom Beasley, Willie Turbville, Ralph Young, Phillip Hayes and Lee Hayes. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Saturday Morning Breakfast Bunch, Christ Light Sunday School Class and Don Herbert. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at www.robertbarhamffh.com Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at Trinity Presbyterian Church.
