Mr. Hull, age 93, of Chunky passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Olen was born on January 12, 1932 in Lawrence, Mississippi to the late Olen Campbell and Eurabel North Hull. They moved to California where he graduated high school. He served in the Air Force in Okinawa during the Korean Conflict. After his military service, he came home and graduated from Ole Miss. After marrying Juanita Castle of Chunky, they set up residence and homesteaded in Chunky for 66 years of joy and happiness together.

Olen worked at Borden's Milk Company in Meridian and later Jackson for 40 plus years as an accountant/bookkeeper.

Olen made church a priority for his family and lived an exemplary Christian life. He taught Sunday School and ministered the Word as a lay leader, and participated in all other aspects of Chunky Methodist Church.

Olen's name changed a little throughout the years from Olen, Daddy, Dad, and then to Pops. His joy and his focus throughout his life was his family, especially his three boys and eventually their children.

Olen loved baseball, having played semi-pro ball at Chunky, and later coaching all three boys while they were growing up. He loved watching the Atlanta Braves and was always a Dodger's fan. Olen knew the intricacies of the game and followed all of his sons' sports and later his grandchildren's activities with a passion.

He spent most of his retirement years "piddling," as he called it, in the yard, growing, and propagating plants mostly to give away. He loved watching hummingbirds, squirrels, and deer around the house. Olen voiced numerous times that he had traveled and lived many places, but "there's no place I'd rather be and live than our home right here in Chunky, MS!"

Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Juanita "Mims" Hull; children, Leslie (Tina) Hull of Pascagoula, MS and Ryan (Dawn) Hull of Collinsville, MS; daughter-in-law, Lisa Hull of Collinsville, MS; grandchildren, Kara (Jonathan) Owen of Madison, MS, Trexler (Madison) Hull of Mobile, AL, Kaley (Kaleb) Kennedy of Pontotoc, MS, Baleigh Hull of Auburn, AL, Kristen Hull of Madison, MS, Jordyn (Lars) Toenges of Sanford, FL, and Brooks (Lily) Hull of Meridian, MS; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Olen C and Eurabel North Hull; brother, Leslie Keith Hull; and son, Steven C. Hull.

The Hull family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Compassus Hospice, especially nurses Paulette and Suzanne, Margurite Wilson, and the Clark family for helping the Hull family during these trying times.
