Olga Valentine Services for Olga Valentine will be held Friday, December 30, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church on Highway 145 South, with Reverend James Gibson officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Valentine, 93, of Meridian died Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at James T. Champion Nursing Center. She worked as a sales associate and seamstress for Bonnie Jean's Shop. Mrs. Valentine was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a member of Phebian Sunday School Class. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known for her loving heart. Survivors include her children Kay Pate and her husband Linwood Pate of Richmond, Virginia, David Valentine and his wife Becky of Ridgeland, Mississippi, Diane Smith of Meridian, Mississippi, and Ken Valentine and his wife Patsy of Meridian, Mississippi; grandchildren Dori Howard and her husband David of Richmond, Virginia, Melanie Fentress of Verona, Virginia, Angela Gray and her husband Michael of Meridian, Mississippi, Greg Valentine and his wife Hayley of Meridian, Mississippi, Misty Rozier and her husband J.R. of Columbus, Georgia, Jill Hart and her husband Brian of Tupelo, Mississippi, Jesse Valentine of Nashville, Tennessee, Michael Valentine of Ridgeland, Mississippi, Jeffrey Valentine of Ridgeland, Mississippi and Aaron Smith of Meridian, Mississippi; great-grandchildren Tate Walton, Heather, Alex and Trevor Hart, Kasey Neal, Alex Gray, Matthew Valentine , Stephanie and Blake Valentine, Trey Rozier and Jacob Fentress and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband George Wilson Valentine; sisters Elizabeth Johnston, Ouida McMullan, Shirley Skelton and Josie Secrest and her parents James and Anna Cora Whitaker. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
