Funeral services for Dalton Williamson will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Meridian Memorial Park.

Mr. Williamson, age 96, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Rush Foundation Hospital.

Dalton was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in World War II. He started his bus driving career in Meridian before moving to San Diego, California and drove a city transit bus for 25 years. He returned to Meridian upon retirement, where he worked with his family in construction. He was a member of First Church of God in Meridian. He enjoyed traveling with his wife all over the United States. He was a very hard worker and always did what was needed to provide for his family.

Survivors include his wife of 76 years, Bonnie Williamson; son, Charles Williamson (Janet); daughter, Linda Beatty (Royce); grandchildren, Sheri Schanrock (Chris), Charlene Babbini (Ron), Joseph Weber, Bonnie Allen, Melissa Newman (Lee), and Russ Buntyn; great-grandchildren, Matt Schanrock (Rachel), Morgan Boone (Carl), Chelsea Williams, Devin Weber, Hailey Weber, Grayson Newman, Harper Newman, Callie Buntyn, and Hadley Buntyn; great-great-grandchildren, Dalton Boone, Mallory Boone, and Audrey Schanrock; sister, Mazell Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
