Opal Massey Pace Services for Opal Massey Pace will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Dr. Carl White officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Pace, 90, of Madison, Mississippi, died October 9, 2013, at St. Dominic's Hospital. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church and The Ruth Sunday School Class. Opal, known as Mimi to most, had moved to Madison, Mississippi to be near her daughter Teresa Pace Whitehead and resided at The Home Place where she acquired many loyal and loved friends. She had just celebrated her ninetieth birthday. Survivors include daughter, Teresa Pace Whitehead and her husband Rick; granddaughter, Lauren Elyse Hartley; grandsons, Nicholas and Tristan Whitehead and numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great nephews and daughter-in-law, Paulette Buchanan. She was preceded in death by her husband Marion C. Pace; son, Wynn Buchanan; parents, Laura Massey and James Massey. The family requests memorial be made to Highland Baptist Church or The Home Place, P.O. Box 720, Madison, Mississippi 39130.
