Mrs. Rawson, 96, of Meridian died Tuesday June 7, 2011 at her residence.
She was a retired accountant. Mrs. Rawson was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, she retired after thirty four years with Mississippi Management Inc. She moved back to Meridian after extensive traveling.
Survivors include two daughters Kay Stephens and husband Kernis of New Hebron, MS, and Jean Pippin of Meridian, one daughter-in-law, Sandra Rawson of Meridian, one sister, Marguirite Goodman of Meridian, one sister-in-law, Catherine Harper of Meridian, eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Burrell and Annie Harper, husband, Earnest V. Rawson, son, Joe Rawson, brothers, Everette and Melvin, sister, Louise New, nephews Bobby Harper and Roger Harper.
Pallbearers will be great grandsons, Caleb Winfield, Kyle Brogan, Andy Pippin, Dalton Davidson, Blake McMullen, Matt Pippin, Paul Rawson, and Jeremey Pippin.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Leon Pippin and Deacons from Oak Grove Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Oak Grove Baptist Church building fund.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
