Oscar Monroe Herrington

Services for Oscar Monroe Herrington will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at Pine Grove Church in the Martin Community with Brother Tommy Espey and Matt Espey officiating; burial will follow in church cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Herrington passed away Friday, August 4, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

He was a member of Pine Grove Church. Mr. Herrington worked for Lance Inc., the U S Postal Service and Lauderdale County Schools.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jean Herrington and a son, Dr. John Eric Herrington, Sr. and his wife Tara, grandchildren, John Eric Herrington, Jr., and Ian Chase Herrington, sisters, Bobbie White and husband, Kenneth, and Betty White and husband, Pete. He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Herrington is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Monroe Herrington, Sr. and Nona Mary Herrington.

Pallbearers will be Craig Espey, Kamaron Espey, Albert Espey, John Eric Herrington, Jr., Jonathan Espey, and Kevin Espey.

Visitation will be Monday, August 7, from 5:30pm til 8:00 pm at the funeral home and 10:30 am til 11:00 am at the church on Tuesday.
