Othell Burton, Sr. Services for Othell Burton, Sr. will be held Thursday, August 4, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Jack Kern officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Burton, 74, of Meridian died Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at his residence. He was the former owner of Burton Hide Company and Ponta Place Estates. Survivors include his son Othell "Buddy" Burton, Jr. and his wife Connie of Fort Lawn, South Carolina; daughters Vicky Kern and her husband Jack of Meridian, Carolyn Holcombe and her husband Mark of Meridian, Brenda Dobbins and her husband Charles of Smiths Station, Alabama, Lori Chiodo and her husband Bob of Gainsville, Georgia; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a sister Jenell Williams and her husband Bud of Newton, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by seven sisters, two brothers, three grandchildren and wife Martha Burns Burton. Pallbearers will be Andy Rigdon, Justin Luke, Donnie Fuller, Jerome Rigdon, Billy Mathis, and Jimmy Maggard.
