Graveside services for Otis T. Harris will be held Monday, February 14, 2011 at 3:30 at Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Ben Laird officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Harris, 95, of Meridian, died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Queen City Nursing Center. He was retired from Chevron Oil Company. Mr. Harris was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He served his country during WWII, the Battle of the Bulge and other major conflicts. Survivors include his son, James T. Harris of Meehan; grandchildren, Deborah Jay of Meehan, Nancy Risher and her husband Les of Enterprise, Jimmy Harris and his wife Jan of Meehan; great-grandchildren, Katie Jay, Thomas Jay, Kyle Risher, Travis Risher, Blaine Harris and Jamie Harris, Britteny Dennis and Seth Dennis. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lettleen Harris; second wife, Myrtle Harris; son, Austin Harris; great-great-grandchild, Jace Scott Harris; three brothers and two sisters. The family requests memorials be made to the Diabetes Association.
