Ouida Walker Simmons Memorial service for Ouida Walker Simmons will be held Monday, at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Sikes officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Simmons, 83, of Meridian died Friday, January 28, 2011 at Silver Leaf Retirement Center. Survivors include his son Phillip Blake Simmons, Niceville, Florida, step daughter Elizabeth Floyd of Denton, Texas, daughter-in-law Claire Simmons, Cary, North Carolina, two grandchildren Blake Hanlon Simmons and Michael Patrick Simmons both of Cary, North Carolina, brother Dewayne Walker of Meridian and a sister Mary Lynn Rhodes of Charlotte, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband Blake H. Simmons, son, Michael H. Simmons, and her mother Mary Walker. The family request memorials be made to American Heart Association.
