P. Kathey Gillis Ussery Services for Kathey Gillis Ussery will be held Monday at 10:00 a. m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Dr. Dan Lanier and Paul Davis officiating. Burial will be in Flaggler Cemetery in Coral Gables, FL with Robert Barham Family funeral home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Ussery, 82, of Meridian died Friday, January 7, 2011 at Golden Living Center. Mrs. Ussery was born September 11, 1928 in Kemper County. She graduated from Lynnville High School. She moved to Miami, FL where she met her husband, Aubrey. She has lived in Meridian now for approximately 18 years, where she was a member of Northcrest Baptist Church. Mrs. Ussery is survived by sisters, Mattie Lee Whittington of Meridian, and Betty Joyce Partridge Woodard and her husband, O. L. "Skinny" of Meridian, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Ussery, parents, Dause and Pearl Gillis, daughter, Brenda Gail Ussery, brothers, Orlan, Norman, John, Raymond, Curtis and T. G. Gillis and sisters, Alice Brown, Nealie Joseph, Ethel Blair and Minnie P. Creekmore. The family request memorials be made to Northcrest Baptist Church or charity of choice.
