Pate Miranda Services for Pate Miranda will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Father Joe Dyer officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Miranda, 68, of Meridian died Sunday, August 7, 2011, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Miranda was in the Marine Corps and served in the Dominican Republic. Later he joined the Army where he served in the 82nd Airborne Division. Mr. Miranda also served in the Army National Guard and was in the Mississippi State Guard where he retired as a Colonel. Survivors include his wife Mimie Miranda of Meridian, two daughters Carolyne Wade and her husband John of Texas, Sharon Davis in Afghanistan, fourteen grandchildren, one step son John Osena of Meridian, one step daughter Chatelle Limbo and husband Ernie of New Jersey and two step grandchildren. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at www.robertbarhamffh.com. Visitation will be Monday, August 15, 2011 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
