A celebration of life service for Patricia Ann Cleveland Covington will be held Monday, August 28. 2017, at 11:00 am at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Reverend Eric Mabbott and Reverend Jack Kern officiating. Burial will be at Bailey Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Patricia, age 83, died in her home Thursday, August 24, 2017 surrounded by her family.
She was a longtime member of Bailey Presbyterian Church where she was a faithful servant of God. She led weekly bible studies at Diversicare of Meridian, formerly known as Broadmoore Health Care Center, for 28 years. She was a tremendous prayer warrior for her family. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, refinishing furniture, thrift shopping and cooking for her family and others. Patricia and Jerry celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary April 15, 2017 and have left a wonderful legacy of committed Christian love.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosanne Covington Brasher; son, Brian Ken Covington (Paula); grandchildren, Becky Brasher Moore (Lee), Keith Covington (Missy), Matthew Covington and Celia Covington Gooch (Robert); great grandchildren, Olivia and Noah Covington; brother, Larry Cleveland (Dot); nephews, Bryant Cleveland (Jennifer); Drew Covington (Michelle), Tom Covington; nieces, Johnnie Lynn Randall, Patti Ball (Greg), Brandy Covington Daley (Chris) and a host of cousins and cherished church family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ken Covington; father, Ozro Bryant "Buck" Cleveland; mother, Essie Rosella Gordon Cleveland; brother, Gordon Cleveland.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Missions Fund of Bailey Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 132 Bailey, MS 39320.
Pallbearers will be Lee Moore, Keith Covington, Matthew Covington, Robert Gooch, Bryant Cleveland and Alex Ball. Honorary Pallbearers will be Drew Covington, Tom Covington, Jamey Germany and the Elders and Deacons of Bailey Presbyterian Church.
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. John David Voss and the staff at Meridian Oncology Associates. We were blessed by the amazing services provided by Ben and Charissa Shirley through Home Instead Senior Care.
