Patricia Alawine Carmichael Memorial services for Patricia Alawine Carmichael will be held Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 12:00 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, with The Reverend Luther Ott officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Ms. Carmichael, 50, of Meridian died Monday, April 18, 2011, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Patti was employed with Wilson Realty as an agent. She was in real estate for many years and is a lifetime member of the Jaycees, a member of the Meridian Junior Auxiliary, past member of the Meridian Symphony Orchestra board as well as a guild member. Ms Carmichael also served on the Meridian Transit Authority, and was an alternate delegate to the 2000 National Republican Convention, as well as a Lauderdale Republican Executive Committee member, she was active in Lamar School functions and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Survivors include her son Gilbert Graham Carmichael of Meridian, the father of her son Scott Carmichael of Meridian, mother Patricia Williams and husband Max of Meridian, a sister Stacey Evans of Meridian, a brother Terry Alawine and wife Kim of Meridian, nieces Britney and Chelsi Alawine and Natalie Evans, a nephew Dylan Evans, a host of other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father Ralph Alawine and a brother Teddy Alawine. The family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Pallbearers will be Dylan Evans, Mal Williams, Hardy Graham, Jr., Willis Melancon, Will Parker, Kevin Alawine, David Brown and Brooks Gray.
