Patricia Davidson Covert Services for Patricia Davidson Covert will be held Tuesday, July 26th 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Meridian, MS. with The Reverend Luther Ott officiating with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Covert, 83, died Wednesday, July 20th 2011 at Infinity Hospice in Marion, MS Patricia Covert was born on March 17th 1928, in Ocean Springs, MS to Iola Faibvre Davidson and Orin David Davidson. She was a graduate of the University of Mississippi in Oxford where she met her husband of 61 years, Robert Frank Covert of Meridian, MS. While at Ole Miss, Mrs., Covert was a founding member and President of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Professionally, she was a librarian at Crestwood Elementary School in Meridian. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Covert was an avid gardener and lover of books. Mrs. Covert was preceded in death by her husband Robert, and is survived by their five children; Bob Covert, Jr., Patrick Covert of Birmingham, AL., Christy Covert of Kingsland, GA, Dana Covert Katzenmeyer of Clinton, MS and William Timothy "Tiger" Covert and his spouse Renee. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Orin Anne Heidelberg of Jacksonville, FL, Andrew Robert Katzenmeyer and his wife Katie of Dallas, TX, Zachary Fredrick Katzenmeyer of Starkville, MS, Max Covert Heidelberg of Kingsland, GA, Kacy Elizabeth Covert, Connor Thompson Covert, Haley Adele Covert, and Kelly Renee Covert and two great-grandchildren, Ana Elise Miller and Stella Lane Katzenmeyer. Honorary Pallbearers are: Mike Covert, Walter Covert, David Covert, Johnny Covert, Robert Hamilton, Bill Heidelberg, Fred Katzenmeyer, Mike Ware and Donnye Phillips. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Love Kitchen or a charity of their choice.
