Patricia Ann Tucker McKeithen, lovingly known as “Mama Pat,” woke up in the arms of Jesus on October 1, 2026.
Raised by a strong mother and surrounded by a host of strong aunts, Mama Pat learned early in life to be independent, determined, and hardworking. Those lessons stayed with her throughout her life. She was never one to put herself first. Her family came before everything, and if Mama Pat loved you, you were family—plain and simple.
She spent many years working in the finance industry, where her strong work ethic and determination served her well. Later in life, she decided it was time for a change and began a new career in the medical field.
That career brought her another family; the people she lovingly called her ER family. She adored them. She was always ready with a story about their hard work, their long days, and, of course, their shenanigans. Those friendships and memories held a special place in her heart.
Mama Pat’s life was defined by strength, loyalty, hard work, and love. She knew how to take care of the people around her, how to stand strong when life was difficult, and how to love people in a way that made them feel like they belonged.
She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and whose lives will forever carry a piece of her with them: her sister, Sandra “Bobby” Jones; her son, Tracy Lyle Tucker; her daughter, Stacy (JT) Walls; her grandson, Richard Daniel Walls; and her granddaughter, Abby Christine Tucker Johnson. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren who brought tremendous joy to her life: Chandler Owen Johnson, Shane Tucker Walls, Beckett Lyle Johnson, William Elijah Walls, and Maren Jo Miles. Mama Pat also leaves behind her best friend, James Griffin, who loved her through it all and stood beside her through thick and thin. His friendship, loyalty, and love meant more than words could ever fully express. She was also blessed with a special daughter-in-law, Vicki Tucker, who held a cherished place in her heart. Their bond was built on love, respect, and the many memories they shared as family. Vicki’s care and devotion meant so much to Mama Pat, and their relationship was truly special.
Mama Pat is preceded in death by her father, Tillman Beard; her mother, Onie K. Killen; her brother, William “Billy” Beard; and her first grandchild, Shane Todd Lummus, the precious little boy who gave her one of her most treasured names—Nanny Pooh.
She may have left this earthly life, but the love she gave, the lessons she taught, the stories she told, and the memories she created will remain with her family and friends forever.
Mama Pat was one of a kind, and to be loved by her was to be family.
