Patsy Naomi Branning

A funeral service for Pat Branning will be held Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Officiants Mother EzGi Perkins and Reverend Lane Townsend. Burial to follow at Meridian Memorial Park. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Pat Branning, age 85, of Meridian passed on Sunday, June 8, 2025, with loved ones nearby.

Pat was a member of the Church of the Mediator Episcopal Church and loved her church family.  She had a sense of style and an eye for detail which served her well during her 26-year career at Peavey Electronics.  She was named Peavey Employee of the Year in 2000.

Ever the contemporary, Pat had a very live and let live way of loving people. Never meeting a stranger and always encouraging others, she put these traits to service by volunteering at Anderson Regional Hospital from 2006 to 2020. In 2012, she was named Anderson’s Volunteer of the Year.  In addition to her hospital work, Pat also gave her time and energy to various community programs supported by the United Way.

Survivors include her son Don Branning, wife Joni, and light of her life grandson Jack Branning, sister Janis Miller, beloved and devoted nieces Belinda, Ceil, Beth, Lashell, Terri, Beth, Rachelle, and nephews Jere and Tony, Kenny and Scottie, Great nieces and nephews, special friend Martha Wilkes, very best friend, Rachel Wilkerson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond “Bilbo” Branning, very special friend Walter Bailey, by her parents, A.J. and Gladys Whitten; sister, Joyce Neal, brother-in-law, Robert Earl Neal, brother, A. J. Jr., sister-in-law, Sylvia Whitten, nephews Richard, Randy, and Bill.

Pallbearers will be Lamar Branning, Chris Branning, Dakota Sherrer, Caleb Tucker, Tony Wilkes, and Thomas Lynn Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Branning, Larry Branning, and Robert Branning

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Church of the Mediator, Toomsuba Presbyterian Church, or the charity of your choice.
