Funeral services for Ms. Patsy Delores Culpepper will begin at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Bro. Derrick Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Ms. Culpepper, 83, of Meridian, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Patsy retired after over 30 years of involvement with the Boy Scouts of America as well as the Cub Scouts. She was the first female recipient of the Silver Fawn Award and the first female participant in the Wood Badge both of which she was very proud. For many years she was host mother to countless exchange students through Youth for Understanding as well as serving as regional director. Ms. Culpepper was actively involved in the leadership of the Residents Council at Poplar Springs Nursing Center. She was avid craftswoman, loving knitting, painting, baking, just to name a few.
Ms. Culpepper is survived by her children, Warren Culpepper (Donna), and Philip Culpepper (Kim); grandchildren, Ashley Lacey (Ben), Shanna Culpepper (Ryan Ikler), William Shannon Culpepper (Amanda), Lea Rodgers (Jimmy), and Jolie Culpepper. Great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Torre May; William, Olive and Findlay Culpepper; Landon Rodgers, Mayleigh and Grayson Burcham; River Rodgers; Whitman and Keaton Lacey; Logan Vance and Irie Ikler. Siblings, Mary Clay and William Partridge (Lolita) as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Ms. Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Warren Culpepper; Parents, William Henry and Mary Elizabeth Partridge.
