Patti Niswender

Patti S. Niswender, 72, of Meridian, Mississippi, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and quiet strength that will forever live in the hearts of those blessed to know her. Born in Meridian on July 4, 1954, Patti’s life was guided by the devotion of her family, the foundation of her faith, and the joy she found in caring for others.

Patti possessed a gentle yet resilient spirit, marked by kindness, humor, and an unwavering capacity to love. She was a gifted storyteller whose laughter filled every room she entered. Her love of baking brought comfort to countless families and friends.

Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. As an active member of Gospel Light House Church, Patti enjoyed singing and leading worship, which she did with a joyful spirit and a heart devoted to praise.

Patti had a remarkable gift for connection. She never met a stranger; she approached everyone with openness, kindness, and genuine interest. Within moments, she could make anyone feel seen, valued, and at ease.

Her greatest devotion was to her family. Her grandchildren, Taylor and Mason, were her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Patti also shared a special bond with her beloved fur baby, Buddy, whom she lovingly called her sunshine. She loved deeply, honestly, and without reservation—and she loved David with a loyalty and tenderness that never wavered.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Sauls; her mother, Evelyn (McMullen) Sauls; and her brother‑in‑law, Gary Davison.

She is survived by her devoted husband, David Niswender; her daughter, Emiley (Maysonett) Solis; her son‑in‑law, Antonio Solis; and her grandchildren, Taylor Anderson and Mason Solis. She is also survived by her sisters, Diane Davison and Jerry Kittrell; Jerry’s husband, Michael Hannon; her nieces, Stacy Kittrell and Michelle Spedero; and her great‑nephew, Cody Spedero.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24th at 2:00 p.m., followed by funeral services at 3:00 p.m., as family and friends gather to honor Patti’s life, her faith, and the love she so freely gave.

Patti’s presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Her legacy is one of kindness, strength, and devotion to love — a legacy that will continue to shine through her family for generations to come.
