Funeral services for Mrs. Patty Rickles will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral with Bro. Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 1, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Patty Rickles, age 68, of Meridian, Mississippi passed away peacefully at her home on the evening of Tuesday, April 28, 2026. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Patty’s life was a beautiful testament to the power of a servant’s heart.

To Patty, family was her entire world. She had a rare gift for making those around her feel truly seen and heard. She was a woman of prayer and a constant, attentive listener for anyone in need, but especially for her three children, Casey, Sha, and Stetson. Whether she was helping with a small daily task or navigating a major life event, she found her greatest joy in being there for her loved ones through every challenge and triumph.

Patty found great joy in the simple, sacred moments of life. She loved sitting on her deck watching the birds and admiring God’s handiwork in nature, often reading a devotional or solving a crossword puzzle or word search. She loved long phone calls with family and friends, but her greatest delight was "loving on" her grandchildren—playing with them and savoring the time they spent together and the conversations they had.

Patty’s warmth, quiet strength, and unwavering support leave a legacy of love that will be cherished always and deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Rickles; her children, Casey Rickles (Ashley), Sha Long (Dale), and Stetson Rickles; her grandchildren, Vincent Long and Raylee Long; her twin sister, Kathy Wright (David); her brother, Billy Wayne Sims (Becky); and numerous nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Edsel Sims and Doris Miller Sims; her brother, Ronnie Sims; and her beloved nephew, Stacy Sims.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Ochsner Rush Hospital, the staff and nurses at the Tom C. Maynor Rehabilitation Center, the nurses and staff of Adoration Home Health, and the staff and nurses of Compassus Hospice for their compassionate love and care.
