James Paul Grice

A celebration of the life of Paul Grice will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Midway Baptist Church, with Reverends Michael Bird, Bill Webb and Wayne Edwards officiating. Burial will be at Boyd Cemetery in Neshoba County.

Mr. Grice, age 76, of Meridian joined his parents, Bill and Lois Grice in Heaven on Monday, May 23, 2016.

Paul was raised in the Bethsaida Community in Neshoba County. He began his lifelong career with Magnolia Steel on January 7, 1960, where he wore many hats in his dedicated and diligent 56 years. He was a faithful, backrow member of Midway Baptist Church. Paul was an avid outdoorsman. He was a wonderful cook and loved cooking for his family. “Pop” attended every activity his grandchildren were involved in and was very proud of their achievements.

Paul enjoyed life with Beckie, his wife of over 54 years and his legacy will be continued by his children; Lessa Tedder and husband, Flint, Laura Campbell and husband, Tad, Tim Grice and wife, Laura; grandchildren, Nickolee Roberts and husband Steve, Chesney Stevens and husband, Casey, Alanna Tedder, Joshua Campbell, AnnaLaura Campbell, Cassidee Zook and husband, Charles, Tyler Grice, Kennedy Grice, and Kary Grice; great grandchildren, Ryleigh Roberts, Lyllian Roberts, Jimmy Matthews, and Addison Zook; sister, Jean Hall and husband, Jimmy, brother, Gatheree “Bud” Grice and wife, Faye; numerous nieces and nephews, and Chris Crowe, Katie Coleman and his Magnolia Steel family.

Pallbearers will be Mack Rigdon, Tyrone Lewis, Rob Wilder, Jason Perry, Bill Hodges, and Jacob Gray. Honorary pallbearers will be Irvin Sharp, Clint Smith and members of the Rod Ezelle Sunday School Class at Midway Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 25 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. and 30 minutes prior to service on Thursday at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Midway Baptist Church benevolence fund.
