In loving memory of Paul Switzer, a remarkable man whose presence brought joy and strength to all who knew him.
Graveside services to honor his life will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, officiated by Brother Scott Crenshaw, with burial to follow. The esteemed Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is privileged to oversee the arrangements.
Paul Switzer, aged 80, of Collinsville, transitioned peacefully in his home on Monday, February 5, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter that will forever endure.
Paul was a beacon of resilience, a man of unwavering strength, and a source of endless laughter. Whether he was enjoying the great outdoors or tinkering under the hood of a hotrod, his zest for life was contagious. His dedication shone through his 30-year tenure as a letter carrier with the US Postal Service, where he touched countless lives with his kindness and warmth.
But above all, Paul's heart belonged to his cherished family. His wife, children, and grandchildren were his greatest treasures, and his bond with them was unbreakable. His love knew no bounds, and his smile grew even wider in their presence.
Paul leaves behind a loving family: his children, Tiffany Harper, Heidi Switzer (Chris Brown), Paul Switzer (Heather), and bonus son Dean Harper; grandchildren, Alexa and Bronson Harper, Ellie and Chloe Carlisle, Gwyn Switzer; and great-grandson, Asher-Scott Shirley, along with numerous nieces and nephews who adored him.
Though he has departed from us, Paul finds solace in the embrace of his beloved wife, Jeannie Switzer, and his son, Tad Switzer, up in heaven. He is also reunited with his parents, Henry and Cora Switzer, and his siblings Melvin Switzer, Sara Stevens, Corrine Johnston, and Ann Hulsey.
During this time of remembrance, we invite friends and loved ones to pay their respects at the visitation on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
The family welcomes online condolences, which may be expressed at robertbarhamffh.com.
Paul Switzer's light will continue to shine bright in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
