A funeral service for Peggy Reid will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Crenshaw officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the funeral home prior to the service in the chapel. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Peggy Marie Reid, age 76, of Meridian passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Poplar Springs Nursing Home.

Peggy was a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother, her primary focus being her children and family. Especially when it came to church and supporting them in the activities they pursued: sports, art, education, and various hobbies.

Survivors include her children, Dana Parker Gault (Jason), Susan Parker Burroughs (Lane), Michael Parker (Jenny), Tammy Stone-Switzer (Daniel), and Jessica Simpson (Phillip); grandchildren, Olivia Marshall, Ava and Marilyn Gault, Parker Grace, Camryn, and Jackson Burroughs, Zoe Reese, Knox, and Hayes Parker, Lily, Madi, Eli, and Luke Simpson, and Emma Stone; siblings, Sam Reid, Jr. (Lynn), Linda Smith, and Cecil Reid; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband, Thomas Lavelle "Rube"; brother, Eugene Reid; parents, Samuel and Pauline Reid.

Pallbearers will be Lane Burroughs, Jason Gault, Philip Simpson, Daniel Switzer, Jackson Burroughs, Eli Simpson, and Luke Simpson.
