Peggy Marie Stewart

Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Marie Stewart will be held at 12:00PM, Monday, April 14, 2025, at Long Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Marty Harper and Reverend Keith Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Peggy Stewart, age 83, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Poplar Springs Nursing Center. Peggy was a wonderful mama and mamaw. She loved the Lord, her family, and her church family. She was always there when her family and friends needed her. She was the first to volunteer when something needed to be done.

She will be missed, but we know she is rejoicing in Heaven, and we will see her once again.

"Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

Peggy is survived by her children, Kim Carmichael (Terry, Sr.), Keith Stewart (Recee), Kathy McQuaig (Jimmy), and Kevin Stewart; grandchildren, Stan Stewart (Jennifer), Terry Carmichael, Jr., Adam Carmichael (Brandi), Marie Moore (Jerry), Diane Savell (Robert), Laura Reece (Cory), Cara McQuaig; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Tricia Robinson (Billy); brother-in-law, Ricky Stewart (Sharon), and her best friend, Ann Hall, as well as niece and nephews.

Mrs. Stewart is preceded in death by her husband, James A. Stewart; parents, Harold and Annie Wimberly; grandson, Will Stewart; brother, Travis Wimberly, sister-in-laws, Dot Wimberly and Carolyn Herod, and brother-in-law, Othel Herod.

Pallbearers will be Stan Stewart, Adam Carmichael, Jerry Moore, Cory Reece, Robert Savell, and Mark Moore.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Operation Christmas Child at Long Creek Baptist Church or Hebhzibah Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until 11:45AM, prior to services at Long Creek Baptist Church on Monday.
