Percy Preston Castleberry Funeral services for Preston Castleberry will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend George Pugh and Reverend Gilbert Prince officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Castleberry, 76, of Meridian passed away in his home on Monday, May 4, 2015. Mr. Castleberry was raised in Vicksburg. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi, where he obtained a specialist degree. While at Southern, he was a member of the Teacher Corps. He worked for the Meridian Public Schools for over thirty years. Mr. Castleberry and his wife, Doris were foster parents to over fifty children. His legacy of service to others will be remembered and honored by all who knew him. As a lifelong Methodist, he enjoyed singing in the choir. The family is very grateful to his current church, Marion Methodist Church, for their support during the last months of his life. Survivors include his wife of thirty-two years, Doris Mae Winstead Castleberry, and his children, Cathy Castleberry, Charlie Castleberry (Lea), Theresa Luke (Josh), Samantha Broome (Rozena), Matthew Castleberry (Chelsey), Christopher Castleberry, Aaron Castleberry, and Gage Castleberry; and his six grandchildren, Courtney Wilson (Sam), Kennedy Castleberry, Cooper Luke, Will Luke and Maria Luke, and Chandler Castleberry. The family request memorials be made to the Marion Methodist Church or Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital. Pallbearers will be Bill Fisher, Zack Winstead, Josh Luke, Sam Wilson, William Luke and Cooper Luke. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at robertbarhamffh.com.
