Funeral services for Mr. Phillip Gable will be held Friday, January 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Northcrest Baptist Church, with Dr. Danny Lanier and Dr. Wade Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Mr. Phillip Gable, age 85, of Russell, MS, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Veterans Home in Collins, MS. Phillip retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service as a Machinist Mate Senior Chief and then went on to work for Mississippi Power for 16 years until his retirement. He was a longtime active member of Northcrest Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher and a Gideon. Phillip was an avid fisherman and loved working in his yard. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sandy Horton Gable, children; Helen Gable, and Phillip C. Gable (Bonnie), stepsons, Tony Ferguson and Randy Ferguson (Vicky), grandchildren; Scarlett Gable, Savannah Parent (David), Cecily Lopez (Sam), Phillip "Sam" Gable, and Chloe E. Winfield, brother; Eddie Gable, step-grandchildren; Richie Ferguson (Nicole), Tori Presnall (Zackery), Jennifer Hampton (Fred), Matthew Ferguson (Megan), brother-in-law Ron Mabry,and a multitude of great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Phillip Hullett and Helen Pauline Gable, brother, Charles Gable, sister in-law, Libby Mabry, and sister-in-law, Cora Alice Gable.
