Priestly L. Taylor Services for Priestly L. Taylor will be held Monday, July 12, 2010 at 3:00 at New Hope Baptist Church, with Reverends James Gibson and Cliff Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Taylor, 58, of Meridian died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at his residence. He was owner of Taylor and Sons, Inc. Mr. Taylor was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and various other duties. He was also a peach and cattle farmer and served as President of The Peach Growers Association for several years. Mr. Taylor enjoyed deer hunting and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Janice Taylor of Meridian; children, Nathan Taylor of Meridian, Natalie Taylor Snowden and her husband Mark of Meridian and Justin Taylor of Meridian; grandchildren, Sierra Snowden, Mia Snowden and John Taylor Snowden; father, Lamar Taylor of Meridian; sister, Frances Thornhill of Meridian; brothers in law, David McIlwain of Meridian, Douglas Mathis and his wife Faye of Meridian; sisters in law, Faye Williams and her husband Larry of Meridian, Amelia Mathis of Meridian; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, loving aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jewell Taylor; sister, Faye McIlwain; brother in law, Toby Thornhill; in laws, Vivian and Oleane Mathis.
