Graveside services for Ralph P. Williams will be held Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 11:00 at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Clarke County, with Dr. Raymon Leake and Reverend Franklin Denham officiating. Burial will be in Union Baptist Church cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Williams, 78 of Meridian, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Williams attended Highland Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Bennington. Mr. Williams was a farmer for 23 years in Kansas and was also retired from Riley Hospital. He attended Kansas State University. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sarah Williams of Meridian, son, Brad R. Williams and his wife Julie of Meridian, grandchildren, Brock Williams and Lindley Williams, both from Meridian, brother in law, Keith Jones and his wife Wynnell of Deerfield, KS, brother in law, Billy Williams and his wife Barbara of Meridian, numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Hope Village for Children or The Organ Fund for Highland Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son Mark Ralph Williams, sister, Kathryn Jones, parents, Davis and Alice Williams. Visitation will be held Wednesday 5-7 at the funeral home.
