Ralph "Wilson" Stone

A funeral mass for Mr. Wilson Stone will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Father Augustine Palimattam will officiate the service. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Stone, 61, of Meridian passed away on February 8, 2019 at his residence.

Wilson, as he was known by his family and friends, was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was employed by the Lauderdale County Maintenance Department and by Marion Package Store. Wilson was a graduate of Lamar School where he played football and baseball.

Wilson never met a stranger and is remembered for his kind and gentle nature. The loves of his life were his grandchildren, Ella, Annie, Betsy, and Dottie O’Banion.

He is survived by his children, Bryce O’Banion (Mitchell), Chris Stone, Bobby Stone, and Amber Gray (Duncan); four grandchildren; siblings, Mimi Stone Smith and Johnny Stone (Cathy); his beloved aunt, Sally Loper (Russell); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Evans and Ella Rita Stone and one brother, Jackie Stone.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 on Monday, February 11, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
