Ray Elbert Grayson Services for Ray Elbert Grayson will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at 11:30 at the Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Ryan Culpepper officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Grayson, age 89, of Meridian, died Saturday, September 04, 2010, at Infinity Hospice. Mr. Grayson was a member of Eight Avenue Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 50 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force, he was a construction foreman, and he retired from Southern Pipe & Supply. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Bessie "Pearlie" Grayson, his son, Larry Grason and his wife Paula of Dalewood, his grandsons, Brad Grayson and his wife Rhonda of Dalewood, and C.J. Grayson and his wife Rena of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a daughter-in-law, Theola Grayson, and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Grayson, his sisters, Clarice Smith, Dot Denton, and Mae Mabrey, and his brothers, W.E. Grayson and H.J. Grayson. Pallbearers will be Dan Brown, Scott Causey, Joe Lundy, Gary Post, James Thorne, and Dick Simmons. Family and friends can sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com.
