A Memorial Service for Ray Hines will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with The Reverend J. Brian Ponder officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Ray Hines, age 77, of Meridian, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at his residence. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, the U.A.W., and Good Sam Trailblazers Camping Club. He was a handy man who loved to fix things around his yard and home, and was an avid fisherman. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Judith Findlay Hines of Meridian; sons, Mark Edward Hines and wife, Elizabeth of Moorestown, NJ, and Jeffrey Lee Hines and long time partner, Karen Shelton of Garland, TX; daughter, Cheri Hines Keller and husband, Jeff of Lebanon, IN; grandchildren Alexander Findlay Hines of Moorestown, NJ, Katherine Barbara Hines of Moorestown, NJ; Clint Joseph Keller of Lebanon, IN, and Kurt Michael Keller of Lebanon, IN; brother, Robert Hines of Shawnee, KS; sisters, Cecile Corbin of Naples, FL, Jean Scott of Xenia, OH, Verna Gibson of Pennington Gap, VA; and Vivian Garrett of Louisville, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his seven siblings. The family request memorials be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church 1116 23rd Avenue, Meridian, MS 39301. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.
