Ray Schrimpshire

Funeral services for Ray Schrimpshire will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Josh Dunn officiating. Burial will be at Stonewall Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Schrimpshire, age 71, of Meridian, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at his residence.

Ray worked for Conoco Oil for 20 years as a party chief in oil exploration. He then worked for and retired from MS department of transportation. He loved to garden and cook for his family.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Judy Hanna Schrimpshire; daughters, Amy Jacob (Bill) and Angela Prince (Kirk); grandchildren, Chloe Jacob, Cameron Jacob, Tony Gonzalez (Brittany), Hannah Johnson (Zac), and Abbigail Jackson; great grandchildren, Harper Johnson, Gentry Johnson, and Blakeley Gonzalez; brother, Louie Lee Schrimpshire (Loretta), Donnie Schrimpshire (Donna); sister, Eva Nell Davis (Jack), Judie Allen (Robbie), Teenie Schrimpshire; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Louie and Florence Schrimpshire; sister, Edna Earl Mayo, and Mavis Halligan.

Pallbearers will be Tony Gonzalez, Zac Johnson, Bill Davis, Ken Davis, Randy Wedgeworth, and Kirk Prince.
