Private Graveside services for Mr. Raymond J. Edwards, Jr. will be Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Magnolia Cemetery with military honors. Interment will follow graveside rites. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Edwards, 95, of Meridian, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020 at The Mississippi Veterans Care Home in Kosciusko, MS.

Mr. Edwards was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and served in WWII as a radio operator. He returned to Meridian to work for Southern Electric Supply Company where he went on to retire after 33 years of service as a sales representative.

Mr. Ray is survived by his children, Robyn Farrell (Marty) of Fairhope, AL; Richelle Putnam (Tim) of Meridian, MS; Jeff Edwards (Kathy) of Starkville, MS. Seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mr. Edwards is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond J. Edwards, Sr. and Marie Slaughter Edwards; Step-mother, Merle Russell Edwards; one sister, Ida Marie Laurenzi; and grandson, Martin Farrell.
