Raymond Noah Harris Services for Raymond Noah Harris will be held Monday, November 19, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church, with Reverend Wayne Edwards, Dr. Keith Grubbs, Reverend Bill Webb and Reverend Paul Harris officiating. Burial will be in Goodwater Baptist Church Cemetery in Meehan, with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Harris, 82, of the Meehan Community died Friday, November 16, 2012, at Rush Hospital. He was a longtime member and deacon at Midway Baptist Church. He also served on staff at Hickory Grove Baptist Church for seventeen years. Mr. Harris was retired after twenty-seven years of service from the City of Meridian. He also served in the Air National Guard. Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years Betty Jean Boardman Harris of the Meehan Community; daughter Melanie Harris and her husband Paul Harris of Meridian; grandchildren Jason Lee Harris and his wife Christine of Oxford, North Carolina; Tyler Anthony Harris, Jonathan Daniel Harris, Heather Martin Harris and Alyse Marie Wilson all of Meridian; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son Anthony Ray "Tony" Harris; parents Noah Hilton and Sarah Evelyn Harris; brothers Martin Harris, Mack Harris, Billy Joe Harris and Leroy Harris and a sister Ella Jean Harris Hayes.
