Raymond Tyler Matos-Nieves Services for Raymond Tyler Matos-Nieves will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at 12 Noon at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Father Frank Cosgrove officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Tyler, 18, of Meridian died Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Lauderdale. He was a senior at Northeast High School and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church He was very active member of the Catholic Youth of Meridian. Survivors include his grandmothers Eileen Nieves-Carnero of Meridian, and Kim Ezell of Toomsuba; mother Yarasie McDurmond of Meridian; father Jason Goad of Toomsumba; great-grandparents Lorenza Carnero Tunon of Puerto Rico, Andrea K. and Donald Gorbet of Illinois; siblings Savannah, Abbie, Camila, Megan, J.J. McDurmond and Kimberly Goad; uncles Juan Matos-Nieves, Derik Boler and Robyn Gorbet, aunt Camille Matos Nieves and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Derik Boler, Josh Bartlett and Jonathan Bartlett, Luis Medina, John Price, Kyle Webb, Desmond Grayson and Michael Breedlove.
