Raymond "Ray" Hodgins

Funeral services for Ray Hodgins will be held Friday, January 22, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church with Brother Bill Webb officiating and Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Hodgins, 52, of Meridian, passed away Monday, January 18 in Pensacola, Florida.

Ray loved God and his family and had a passion for people and a heart for reaching the lost.  Since 2001, he has served as a missionary to the Deaf in Uruguay, Paraguay, and Mexico, teaching God’s word to the Deaf and training Deaf leaders.  Ray was easy-going and genuinely loved all people, and was likewise loved by them.

Ray is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Cindy Edwards Hodgins; his children, Alyse, Taylor, Kaylee, and Nathan; brothers, Randy (Holly) Hodgins and Rodge (Amy) Hodgins; and aunts, Eddice Ethridge and Carolyn Hodgins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Ivonne Hodgins.

Pallbearers will be Wade Edwards, Tracy Edwards, Renny Banes, Walter Ridinger, Mike Ethridge, and Gary Tufts.
