Raymond Durwood Williams

Funeral services for Raymond Williams will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Giles officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Garden.

Mr. Williams, age 89, of Meridian, passed away February 22 at Anderson’s.

Ray was a member of the Meridian West Camp of the Gideons International and was a member of Church of the Way. He served his country in the United States Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant.

He is survived by daughters, Brenda J. Stevenson, Ashah (Danny) Harper, and Farida (Chris) Harold; grandchildren, Douglas Stevenson, Matthew Stevenson, Andrew Stevenson, Stephanie Wells, Danyel Harper, Angel Harper, and Ryan Davis, as well as several great-grandchildren; sisters, Katherine Ledger and Thelma Lovell, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Williams; son, Steve Williams; parents, Charlie W. and Mamie C. Williams, and four brothers and one sister.
